I have signed a car contract with 1k non-refundable partial payment because the dealership has to located the car. We had an oral agreement that the car shouldn't exceed certain miles. When they call to tell me they located the car for me, they refuse to tell me how many miles on the car. At that point, I told them we had an agreement. The sales manager keep pressuring me to take the car, he was rude and unprofessional. At that point, I told him that I don't want the car anymore. I want to cancle the deal. We were arguing about the deposit. The next thing I know, he slammed the phone on me. I am not able to talk to anyone else at that dealership other than the rude sales manager. So, I called my credit card company and dispute the charge. At this point, I just want to know if anyone has any idea about the chances that I will get my money back from my credit card. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this and reply!

The oral agreement about the miles on the located vehicle probably, won't hold any water.
you should go there and see how many miles they had to drive to bring it in from another dealer
If the original "window sticker" is still on the car -then the name & address of the "shipped to" dealer is printed on the very bottom of that sticker

Assuming it was not a "demonstrater" the odometer should not have more miles on it the distance from one dealer to the other , plus maybe 50-60 miles. [ test drives, prep drive }

that would be a reasonable amount of miles to you , would'nt it ?
If you were being unreasonable or rude to the sales manager that might've made him rude to you !

Well, I think that the credit card company is obligated to investigate your dispute at least. While the car company could lie about the charge (not admitting they violated a verbal agreement), you can threaten to take the dealer and report to the Better Business Bureau.

Check with the Better Business Bureau to see if there are other similar complaints about the dealer and check if your city/state has a "Lemon Law" to cover your problem.

Good Luck
