I don't think any religion is 100% right. They all at least try to teach what is best for God or the soul, but too many egos, too many politics, too many agendas have corrupted the message.

Plus religion either dumbs down concepts too much or makes everything unnecessarily complicated.

I have seen the vision what of could be (the good vision, not the horrible one) and I imagine my holy men and prophets have seen the same one, too. Achieving the vision is a lot harder. Processing something divine with our small minds loses a lot in the translation. Putting it into words and designing the path to get there is no easy task. But to make it work, you must put all focus into that one path, regardless if there are other ways to get there, so in a sense it is the one true path and the "one true religion"...for those who choose to follow it.

I prefer to look at it as the one true way to heaven. And I do't think its odd. We are all sinners, selfish greedy obnoxious sinners who don't like admitting shen they're wrong. Because of this, there are so many wars as to which religion is correct. So people then say that all religions are the same and that we're all going to heaven just to make everybody happy.

WRONG WRONG WRONG

Its not up to us to decide which is correct. God will judge us when the time comes. The only thing we can do is seek the truth through HIS word and HIS word only - the bible. Its the only rbook that has not changed in content or meaning to suit those who want to follow. Its not for the faint hearted.

Every religion is the one true religion because it is about perspective and belief. Its not about what is out there, it is about how people need answers. Religion was created for two reasons. One, people can have answers for questions that concerned them. No one knows if they are true or not, but if they a make person at ease, it helps. The second is to help guide social behaviors. Many religions guide their beliefs around social mores. These guidelines have helped shape what many goverments are today, including America.

Well actually I agree that it is ironic. The bible speaks of one and only one religion and faith (Eph 4:4-6). If you look and search the bible, you will find no reference to the Catholic religion, the Baptist's, Jehovah Witness, Methodist, or many others.

The bible speaks of only a few names: i.e., The Church of God (1st Thes: 2:14), The Churches of Christ (Rom: 16:16), The Church. Ephesians 4:4-6 speaks volumes to anyone who tries to make religion a free for all event. It just is not so biblically speaking. I believe that is why Christ says to us that in the end He will say to those people "depart from me I know ye not" and they will say but "we prophesied in your name". Talking the talk and walking the walk is two totally different things don't you think!

I think in the olden days, just about everyone claimed to be the one true religion. I'm not sure that is true today. Common sense tells you that nobody has the perfect religion. Think about it, if someone......that is anyone, had all the answers....what would be the point in being here? No one has all the answers, therefore there is no one true religion.

However, everyone has the one true religion that fits the best for them.....

Yes only one is is say's that in the bible. You cannot trust what some one say's I think you have to do your own research on what religion you want to go to. Check out the facts. Talk to the head of the religion and if he can give you straight answers to any of ur questions and show you from the bible then that is the one i would trust.

Not every religion feels this way.

But think about it: If one doesn't believe his religion is the true religion, he won't believe it for very long. He'll be off in search of the true thing.

Religions are like stepping stones. They have have some truth that holds you up for the right time and place.

If one keeps seeking, he will find.

It would seem that religion is important for the natural psyche of general humanity. As the human mind evolve and adapt to different technologies that provide more choices the the desire for choices of religion will emerge at a similar rate, To me religion seem to be an innate human desire. We have faith that we belong to a higher power than ourselves. Many religions emerge to satisfy different taste, like flavors of soda. Saying that they are the best is a measure of maintaining competition.

Not all religions claim to be the "one true religion". I have never heard this about Hinduism, Buddhism, or neo-pagan religions. Are there any religions other than Christianity (including Catholicism), Islam, and Judaism that makes this claim?
