If Prince (the musician) chose Jehovahs Witnesses as his religion, couldn't their be something really to it. The fact that he has such an iconic status and could choose any religion he wanted to, why did he choose to be a witness? People get on here and say its a cult and they use mind control, but ask yourself, would prince alow someone or a group of people to control him. Seeing he went thru that whole ordeal w/ Warner Bros, would he really jump into something that many describe as a cult. Think about it. Maybe he really did find the Truth!

To each his own. Prince also wore pants with his butt cheeks out and make-up, should we look into that?
He found his own personal truth, not mine.
You have to find what works for you and that's what Prince did.

Yeah, and Madonna and Kabballah, and Tom Cruise and Scientology. Though they are trend setters, and iconic, I wouldn't say that anyone should trust in their judgments. Prince is one person, just because he has a very unique image and sound, doesn't mean we should follow his every move and respect his every decision, especially when it comes to religion which has nothing to do with fashion or music (fields in which he is considered unique). Michael Jackson is iconic as well and a Jehovah's Witness and I can't think of one person in the public eye who seems to have more problems plaguing his life.

Prince has always been under the control of Satan. Joining the JW is a lateral move for him. And, No-just because an idiot like Prince joins a group does not legitimate the group.

I wouldn't choose a religion just because a celebrity endorses it. That's a pretty shallow reason, and I would question anyone's commitment if that was the reason they converted or chose it.

Gee, Tom Cruise is into Scientology, maybe that is true as well? Seriously, anyone who gets their spiritual cues from celebrities is on dangerous ground. The truth is, most of them are not real bright and certainly not in the realm of theology.

You could say that about any famous person and the religion they chose. There are people way more powerful than him.

People are people and basically they do things for all kinds of reasons beyond our own understanding and God has a big job ahead of Him at judgement time, don't you think.

I'm sure just about any religion has someone famous that has chosen it......that doesn't mean anything special, unfortunately.
