well i live in a refrigerator and when ever i went home and shut the door my electricity seemed to cut off so called in the hobbit from next door to have a look but he said he couldn't help. someone suggested that i get a gynecologist to have a look so i tidied up my house gave it a quick hoover opened up a fresh pack of biscuits and made a pot of tea before he came over. he couldn't do anything either so i painted the walls to try and please the light bulb but it didn't work so i got super man to change the bulb and put a happy one in but still no joy so i drew a happy face on the bulb but it was still angry so that's the story of me and my electricity problem but the story is no finished...oohhh noo the next day after spending 48 hours in darkness i got lieutenant chambers to come and have a look but that fat bastard just ate all my biscuits and left because he had to eliminate a british spy........what was his name again?..jim bond no....james bomb?.......oh i dont know anyway .... i got on the phone to the president but he was too busy picking a country to start bullying i think it was pakistan i cant remeber any way i put the switch back to automatic and now my lights are fine...............hope that helped ya sonny.................10 points pweeeeze

There is a little switch in your fridge that turns the light off when the door closes. Lighting bugs, like any other bug, can live in a jar, as long as you give it food and water and enough air, it can live for it's full life span. Butterfly's usually don't live long enough to see winter, there life span is about three to four months, usually dying off around September October depending on where you live. Some monarch butterfly's will migrate to south america, a phenomenon that baffles scientists to this day.

Ok, funny questions. ;) The fridge light turns off just like the door chime in your car stops when the door is shut. LIghtening bugs will live a few days without food and water. Butterflies either migrate or die before winter, depending on the species. :)

The door when closed presses a switch to turn off the light. There may be refrigerators with an Ultra Violet lamp working,to preserve food by UV light that may not be switched off when the door is closed.

the fridge has a switch on the door to conserve electricity. a firefly will die ... eventually. Some butterflies overwinter as eggs or in their pupal stage. (Other butterflies hibernate as caterpillars or as adults under logs or wrapped up in leaves.) An example of this is a Swallowtail. Some butterflies, like monarchs, migrate to warmer areas. if only they made refrigerators with windows.

Open it and push in the push button that is usually at the top..If you can do that then you'll see that the light does go off when the ref. door is shut.

No, because your food on top shelves would not stay cold from the heat given off from the bulb.
