Hmmmm. I would say that apparently you believe God to be a Being (A sentient being at that). The sun has no intellect. What makes the Sun (a Star) something to worship ??? That would be like Idol worship. Worshiping objects. Even worshiping people makes more sense than that! Hey I can make you a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich; Worship Me!! (I'm Just Kidding)...People have some intelligence at least.... I do not condone worshiping people but I am just trying to get my point across....
God may not have been there for you at certain times but ask yourself; how much have you been there for Him? If you are following His word and doing what is said in the Bible as good and following the commandments of worshiping God the way you should, He WILL be there for you. It is promised throughout the scriptures. If you just call on Him when you need something; what makes you think He will just be there when you need him??.. Its like using a person for stuff only when you need em'... That's not a true dually supportive friendship/relationship.
So I hope this may have helped you in your quest for answers.Ponder what I've written.

There is nothing wrong with worshipping the SUN, which according to Hindu culture is a God - Sun God. We have verses praising the sun god.
It also says a lot about the person who worships the Sun, Rain and the elements. Each element is a God in Hindu Mythology.
It is siaid the person that worships the sun is appreciative of what he has, rather than mulling and pondering and wishing for what does not have or has not seen. It says the person lives for the present and enjoys the present than worrying about the future.
Have no sense of guilt or self doubt about worshipping the sun - inspite of what others may say. Its a good thing.

God has never let you down he would have been right beside you.
We are all here to learn life lessons that is what makes us strong.
With no pain we will have no gain.
It all comes down to self responsibility.
The sun goes down in the evening and does not come up till the next day.
But God is with you all the time.
I worship
Our Father "God"
Our Mother "Mother Earth"
And the Sun for it's Energy
And the Moon for it Wisdom
And the whole Universe.
Love & Blessings

Why have you got God in ""? What is that supposed to mean? Because the sun is not supposed to be worshipped, only God. Read the 10 Commandments. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. If you worship the sun, you're breaking a Commandment. Maybe the reason God is "letting you down" is because you are letting Him down. My opinion, though. Oh, and the sun isn't the reason you have food, God created the sun, which makes Him the reason you have food, and He created you.

What do you expect of the sun? You expect it to rise and to set everyday, I imagine. You expect it to give you light, warmth, the energy that grows the foods we eat, that fuels our biosphere. And with such expectations, it has never let you down, for you only expect it to do what you have seen it do every day of your life.
What do you expect of God? How has he let you down? Perhaps your expectations are misplaced. Do you expect God to solve all your problems for you? Why should he, when you're the one with the problems, and especially when he has never said he would do so. So you refuse to worship God because he has not fulfilled the expectations you made up for him-- perhaps you should not worship the Sun for the same reason. Hold the sun to the same standards to which you hold God, and your answer will be obvious.

Because the Sun is an object, and doesn't care about you or know you. Why not worship a Rock?
What are you going to get out of it? God is REALLY, REALLY GREAT..you want to Worship
the Sun, which "HE CREATED!" God Rules the Sun.
(we all "feel" let down by God, at one time or
another...sometimes, we just have to be patient.
God works, in His own time. Sometimes, the
answer is No)...

I have to agree with this one. You can see it, it gives you everything you need, and it is there for you. You cannot see God and do not know what God is half of the time. If you want to worship the Sun, more power to you, at least you believe in something.

It's wrong because you're choosing a part of the creation over the Creator. How would you like it if your kids called the microwave and the fridge mommy and daddy?
God is jealous for His glory, and when we give it to an object that cannot even hear or acknowledge prayer, He is angered. Even though the world around us makes it obvious that there is a God, people choose to follow their own lusts and desires and pretend He doesn't exist. There will be wrath poured out on those who refuse to repent!

The Sun IS a God. He has many names (Lugh, Apollo, etc.) but is still the same Sun God. That's one thing I love about being a Pagan. Most atheists believe it's foolish to worship a being that has never proven its existence. And they DO have a point. But the Sun is there. We see it, we feel it, and we are alive because of it.

no longer something is erroneous approximately it. You circulate to a temple and worship a statue then why don't you the sunlight, it is genuine and to blame for our life. a minimum of we are able to make certain and sense it. this would help in understand-how the creation and the writer of many different suns/stars recent and we attain closer to god.
