I WOULD USE NEOSPORIN ON IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE DURING THE DAY WHILE WRAPPED AND AT HOME USE THE ALOE AND HYDROGEN PEROXIDE AND LET IT AIR OUT TO FORM A SCAB---BECAREFUL THAT THE BANDAGE DOESN'T TEAR OFF THE SCAB. MY HUSBAND DID THE EXACT SAME THING.

DO NOT USE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE on your leg. Get something called BETADINE at the drug store. It is a brown non burning liquid. Mix it half and half with water. Soak your leg for about 10mins. Gently remove any flaky skin, do not pull off any skin. Pat dry. Lather on neosporin or a triple antibiotic ointment. Loosely cover with guaze. Do this twice a day until the wound has healed. If you notice any green or foul smelling drainage, go to the doctor. If you develop fever, chills, or increased pain go to the doctor. Keep a close eye on it. This can easily be infected. Wash your hands really well before touching it.

First of all, DO NOT put alcohol or peroxide on it. This will only irritate an already injured skin. See your doctor, go to the local clinic, or the ER. They will examine for possible infection and probably prescribe Silvadene cream (prescription medication). You have a burn, and it needs treated or it can become infected.

keep it clean-#1 you need to scrub it, i know that sounds terrible but you do. My grandma used to work as an RN in a chemical plant and deal with chemical burns all day. Keep it covered during the day and let it breath (uncovered) during the night. When it is healed and only then you can put vitamin e oil on it to minimize scaring. Take care of it, you don't want to loose your leg. If there are any signs of redness or oozing go to the doc.

ok this happened to my mom before- aloe wont' fight infection.. you should really put some peroxide on it.. or alcohol, NO MATTER HOW BAD IT BURNS... do that once, and cover it with gauze for about 3 days, and if it's healed more, you can put more aloe on it..

You need to go to the ER. You can get a bad infection and possibly die from it. They will give you special stuff for the burn. Good luck.

You have suffered a serious third degree burn and need to see a burn specialist or family doctor as soon as possible. This is serious and could cost you your life.

One of the men in a Vet. org I belong to lost his daughter to the exact same thing.

See your doctor or get to the hospital immediately.

Yeah, hon, go see a doctor. If it does get infected, there will be nothing you alone can do about it. Let them check it out and give you antibiotic or something.
Better be safe than sorry.

You need some burn cream. Get it from your pharmacy. It may take a prescription. I'm not sure. It is called silvadine 20% cream:
