Is Salford in Manchester rough and got bad name? My friend is moving there from Yorkshire and i believe its really bad?

Yes, my Dad is from Salford. It is historically a very deprived area. I've heard it is quite rough, but have never seen any trouble when I have been there.

Salford isn't in Manchester, it's a separate city. Got its own Cathedral and Uni, it's a city in its own right

I've heard of Salford. I've never been there but my Spies have yet to say anything bad about the place.

As my mate Pete was born there he tells me now it is on the up and its now a nice place cos it has a dockside development grandly named Salford Quays if your friend is moving there that is cool !

Salford is an outer city area ad therefore has problems similar to other areas of comparable status,

keep your head down and do your own thing youl be ok but start asking or interfering it will probably be a different outcome though i live in asmall seaside townwhich is seen as quiet to the tourists but what goes on here is just as big as these other towns so it wouldnt matter where you move really if this place was televised as reality people would be shocked believe me

yes it is a place to life, because lots of chavs life there to, i used to want to life there but that was when i was 9 its changed alots since a couple of years, if i was you i would try and get your friend out of it tell her or he how bad it is, plus i bet after your friend moves in salford he or she will want to come back its that misarable

salford is great my family originate from there lots ov them still live there,you get unsavoury characters where ever you live in the world,
