This may be a bit of a stereotype, but I am a teenager, and I've notced that the type of kids that seem to smell the most are the metalheads and goths. Why? It is so ******* gross. I'm not saying shower everyday, I shower every OTHER day because otherwise my skin and hair would be too dry, but like, come on. Deodorant. Soap. That's all. Even some cologne would be better than nothing! Why do they smell????

They smell because they think they're Goth and Metalheads. They truely do not know what either subculture means and they think they're doing what it's about. I'm Gothic and an industrialite (metalhead for those who aren't smart enough to figure that out) and I shower daily and EVEN use cologne after that as well.
They smell because they're biological creatures that obviously produce odor. It's just that they are too lazy to clean themselves. But obviously they're poseur skin-Goths who don't know the meaning of what it truely is like. You are right, it was a stereotype. But SOME Goths may not shower.. but I mean, there are less Goths who don't than anyone else in the world.

What makes you think they don't? have you proof? were all individuals dress how ever or wear whatever we want, dark clothing, dark hair, pale make up does not mean they don't shower, some non goth smell, some goth may smell, although personally Ive never taken or have taken notice of who smells or who doesn't. Goth, Trendy, Hippy, bohemian were all the same, human, our dress sense doesn't and shouldn't make us another species from one another, people some have odor problems, some don't, some people shower more often than others, what any person wears doesn't depict on whether some one smells or not, its very small minded of you, how do people know you shower? your possible reply to the question may be 'Because i do shower, ive never noticed a bad odor on me and no ones ever told me i smell' if so then how do other people know you shower? how do you know you dont have a bad odor coming from you? its a fact that most people who have an odor problem dont even notice they smell a little, as for nobody ever telling you that you have an odor problem, alot of people wouldnt mention to you that you smell, some are too polite, not wanting to embarres you or hurt your feelings, like you some are cowards and wouldnt say it to your face but instead saying nasty, spitefull things about your problem behind your back, you may how ever not have an odor problem, people who get up close to you may know you dont smell but how would you like it if people whove never been up close to you and just looking at you from a distance thought to themselves 'Ewww, she looks as if she never has a shower' how would you like to be seen for no real reason as never taking a shower and judged in the same way? one day you'll grow up and find the reality check you so need. Anyway i think your nose is too near your bum. x

Yeah that is very stereotypical. Im not goth at all what so ever, but I am a person that seems to find friends in everyone. Im sure some people may think you stink considering you only shower 3-4 times a week. I consider that gross honestly. I think that you need to do more research on different groups of people and notice that everyone is different and everyone treats their bodies differently, not only gothic people.

They are too busy being morose and tragic to bother with personal hygiene. What's your excuse? Try showering every day and use moisturizer. I suspect you aren't as fresh as you could be either.
