My 14 yr. old son is terriried of spiders, and I'm trying understand what it's like for him. I have a pretty good imigination, but I have trouble imagining being afraid of spiders. We do not have any very poisonous spiders where we live. When I read about someone using a neighbor's toilet because of a spider, I would find that hard to believe if not for my son. No one else in the family has this fear.

For me it's more that i'm petrified of moving spiders or spiders actually on me. I can look at a spider forever thats being still but as soon as it moves I freak. Do you have any unreasonable fears, such as snakes, rats, or scorpians? It's not logical, the fact is the odds of one of these things actually hurting you is very very slim, but for whatever reason people are just repulse by some creatures.

Perhaps is the appearance of the spiders makes him to be afraid of him. However, this is just my guessing. You could ask your son why he's afraid of spiders.

No one in ,y family is afraid of spiders and i hate them. I dont think they can kill me or anything but i hate the way they look and crawl. I also freak out when i see one or think about them by me because i dont want them to crawl on me or i will start screaming and rip my clothes off to get it away fro me. IU start to panic. I dont want them by my hair or close to me and if i see one, i will stare at it to make sure it doesnt run where i cant find it until my boyfriend gets home to kill it.

god i hate them and im an adult. your child will do 1 of 2 things hell grow up to accept them because you are not scared of them or he will end up hateing them. try to reason with him put one in a glass and let him watch it. he may get used of it this way. and the reason why i hate them is because they are fast. have 8 legs. black and some are hairy to depending on the size. they are just so nasty. and the thought that maybe you could eat one in the night makes me feel ill

I dont really no, im not afraid of them, i dont really want to be face to face with one, but it makes me mad when people stomp on them for no reason, i dont like bugs though, i hate being near them but i wont kill one,
i dont know how to explain it to youj how people who are scared of them feel, but you could try and explain to your son, that there more scared of him, and that theyre not bad theyre just gross, lol

spiders don't really scare me *where i come from the spiders are as big as your palm *.* browrecluses creep me out though

well.......... my brother's girlfreind is scared of spiders and if one goes near here she runs away screaming and can't sleep all night :(
