Resolve, young lady, resolve!
But, frankly, I think this thing about dieting is over-rated. What you really need to do is to burn those calories! Stop being sedentary and start aerobics, every day! If your work place is not too far away, stop driving there and walk! Jog every day, if the neighborhood where you live is safe enough.
By the way, a medically proven fact is that people who are over-weight tend to accumulate "poisons" in unwanted junk along with their fat! Drink a lot of water! The recommended norm is 8 litres per day. That's a little over 2 gallons. It'll have you going to the rest-rooms a lot, but then, you'll be getting rid of all those "poisons" slowly, but steadily. Also, because of the water consumption, your appetite will get killed, naturally! And you won't be eating so much.
However, rest assured that just forcing yourself to stay away from food, normally, doesn't work. You either break down and hog; or you just invite hyper-acidity to take over.
So, go the water and work-out route, if you'd really like to see results, that are lasting, soon!
All the best!
Cheers.

Try not to eat while you are watching TV (your mind is concentrated on the TV and you might be eating ALOT more than you intended). Whenever you feel like picking up some junkfood get something healthier instead like an apple or some water. Eat out of a smaller plate instead of a regular sized plate. Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night (you burn calories while you sleep). Dont eat snacks between meals and only eat WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY, dont just eat just to eat. Its your responsibility to treat your body with respect, and if you fill your body with nothing but junk then it will show on the outside.

There are several ways. First, diet and exercise. It has such a negative connotation but it is the best way. Once you become more active and exercise regularly (3-5 days a week), you have more energy and burn more calories. Also, you wont want to eat much. The best advice I can offer is weigh yourself every morning and chart it on a line graph. It is the best motivation. Also, have 5 smaller meals throughout the day. The body needs to eat every three hours. Not a lot, but just enough to replinish. If you have three meals a day, you are going 6 hours or more without food. Your body is telling you your starving. Have five smaller meals and you'll be fine

Are you trying to cut out food altogether, or just certain types of food? You can eat all day long and not gain a lot of weight if you eat the right types of foods. Limit your fatty foods, limit sugar, and limit starches.
Try eating five small meals a day- This will help you to keep feeling full and less likely to binge. Starving yourself is never good!
Breakfast could be: 2 scrambled eggs, 1/2 grapefruit, maybe some yogurt, and coffee or tea
Mid-morning snack: 2 graham crackers and peanut butter
Lunch: Turkey sandwich, glass of lowfat milk, and an apple
Afternoon snack: handful of mixed nuts
Dinner: 4 oz steak, green beans, and a roll, iced tea
You'll want to make sure that you're getting all your recommended servings each day if you decide to cut any extra food out of your diet so you get all your essential vitamins and minerals.

It takes your brain 20 minutes to relay the message to your stomache that you are full, so try eating just a little bit and then wait, even though you may feel hungry give it some time, also chew your food for longer periods, it will help the 20 minutes go by faster, also when you get hungry and you know you do not really need to eat try doing something like going outside or something to get your mind off of it till it is time to eat again.

Eat six small, healthful meals per day instead of three big meals. This keeps your energy level consistent so you don't end up craving junk food. Don't eat too much processed food. Occasionally reward yourself with treats so you don't feel deprived. Eat slowly, savor each bite.
Also, find activities to keep yourself busy. When I hang around the house watching TV I eat all day, just out of boredom. When I am busy, I only eat when I am actually hungry.

Drink a ton of water first, and eat more fresh vegetables. I usually put a huge handfull of lettuce salad on my plate along with the other food there isnt much room for the rest, I also hear to eat your meats and vegies first then the starchy stuff.

Keep yourself VERY busy. Start you day with exercise - this motivates you to think about EVERYTHING you put in your mouth. Substitute water for soda and other calorie filled drinks. Fill your plate with lots of fruits and vegetables and smaller amounts of lean meats and pasta. Another thing that works for me is to brush my teeth - I don't want to eat something after brushing because it won't taste the same. Before indulging in a treat, put it off for about 20/30 minutes - you may find after that time you no longer crave the treat. Good luck.
