Many people suffer from this defect. God to them is a personal 911. Not very appreciative of those that promote themselves as friends of God.

I listened to a gentleman tell me about how he used to awaken every morning around 3 am, go into his living room and every morning at 3:30 he would begin to sing praises to God . He continued for more than 3 years. He felt led to move and so, sold his home to travel to another state. A month or 2 went by and he received a phone call from the people who purchased his home, (non church affiliated) and spoke with him about strange noises in the night . He told them he'd never had a problem and after a lengthy discussion found that the people had been awakened every morning around 3:30 to what they thought was a radio playing ..... singing ..... sounded like church music. The only answer they could come up with was that the man was joined by heavenly bodies every morning at 3:30 am .... and they were so used to joining him there at that time they just continued when he left ...... now, I wasn't there ... but I do believe in angels . I have my own . No doubt about it , so it's not a hard stretch for me to believe this could be true . I give God credit for everything . If you believe in God at all, then, perhaps you should give him thanks all the time , in fact the bible does tell us to "in all things give thanks to God " . He is ,after all , the giver of life in all things . Don't be religious, be spiritual .... find a close heart felt kinship with Him ... you will find you won't have to "run to Him in times of crises" ... You'll already be there .

Yes that's the way most christians are. When in trouble or afflicted and those bills are due, call on the Lord. But when everythings going fine, forget about God it's time to go to the club, time to get you fornication or your adultery on. But in

1 CORINTHIANS 10:21 it says
21) Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

In God's church you cannot be lukewarm, you are either hot or cold. I pray for you. Amen

Yes, I thank God all the time, every day, for everything I experience. But it's okay if you only pray when you're in trouble. God is not judgmental or condemning and understands.

I praise God for the good and go to him for the bad.

There's a saying "God keeps us close through the pain we know." He knows that we are going to come to him and that is when he can say " I am God and I got this."

I personally have conversations with God. That may seem funny but he wants us to talk to him just like he is here. I do.

Remember, he knows all about it and hurts just like a parent when there child is hurting. But when you are in pain that is when you show humility.

Studies show only 10% of Atheists remain Athiest in times of big trouble. Sadly it tends to take impending doom or a very sick loved one to bring some people to their knees.

i don't use God as my own personal genie. you are making a mockery out of God. i think about God 24 hours a day. He's on my mind all the time. i worship Him with all that i am. He's my everything. my creator, the air that i breathe.
