i'm planning to make a video clip like a sort of powerpoint slideshow of pictures with a musical background but i want it to be in avi format. i don't know what software shall i use? i've tried pinnacle but it runs very slow in my pc. please help me...

Have you tried windows movie maker and then convert it? Or you can get avid or final cut pro. I use those to make movies. Those are usually for film-makers.
