It's a hard question to answer. First, there are no typical white culture. Whites don't see themselves as white, but as english, irish, swedish, german, french, belgian, etc. Second, almost any food has some basic design in another culture. Hot Dogs are american, but many people would say that the origin of sausages are in other cultures. But the typical skinless Hot Dog on a bun was invented in the US. Potatoes are eaten in many countries, but the Potato Chip was invented in the US. Chinese food usually comes from China, but it was in the US that the fortune cookie was invented. Much of the Mexican food americans eat, like nachos and chimichangas, is actually Tex-Mex food invented on this side of the Rio Grande.

It is different according to what part of the US you live in. I live in the south however and the typical foods are:
Breakfast:Biscuits and gravy, Grits, Fried Apples, Eggs and sausage and biscuits......and so on
Dinner: Potato Salad, Fried chicken, biscuits, Cole slaw, fried potato's.......
Supper:Country Ham, biscuits (lol, biscuits go with everything), green beans, corn, Chicken and dumplings......
That's just some of the food that shows up regularly, but there is tons more, its just to much to list! lol
Oh, and how could I leave out desert! Any kind of pie (apple, cherry, chocolate....) and cobblers (blackberry, peach.....) and apple dumplings and much more
Okay, now I'm hungry.

Isn't "white american culture" kind of an oxymoron? This is America, and we have no culture of our own; we're just a bunch of muts. I am German, English, Irish, and French - how do you bottle that? Saurkraut, Yorkshire pudding, potatoes and a nice Chardonay?

It varies by region of the country. I'm from Texas, and most of us cracker *** whiteys ate stuff from our European heritage - I ate a lot of sausage, sauerkraut, potatoes and such growing up because my family is German. My friend ate kolaches, head cheese and other stuff because his family was Czech. "White people" are fairly diverse.

There are no right or wrong answers to this question. It depends on where a person lives and what is eaten and enjoyed there.
