Russian sounds really musical to me. Unfortunately, I can't speak or understand much, except for a few words (I only took it for one semester, and I obviously couldn't learn much).

Since I speak russian as my first language, even though I am ukrainian, I do not think that it is that impressive. I think that other Slavic languages like Ukrainian sounds much more impressive and by the way sounds much better than French or Spanish.

With all the respect to Russians, I really don't like the way it sounds. I think it sounds too aggressive.
As for other Slavic languages, I like the way Serbian and Croatian sound.

It can be harsh on the ears but unusual ? No.Now Hungarian?Yes since it bears no relation in it`s language to any other European language. For example if you know Spanish you can understand or guess some Italian or Portuguese ,German then some Dutch or Swedish etc.

Yeah, it's rather snazzy. I've started teaching myself. It's just got something special about it.
