its more of a mystery than most think. dogs love to wind surf as i call it. whether its at slow speeds or neck breaking speeds. but blow in their face and they got nuts and hate it. maybe they like the smell of car exhaust. they chase cars so maybe they love the smell of it. they love to look out the windows as there is so much more they get to see at that height than on the ground. thats understandable. but wanting to windsurf no one knows. i have several vet friends and no one knows. dogs do strange things. they sniff butts to check out who it is. but if you pass gas, the dog runs out of the room. they will be picky on some chews and treats, but munch on roadkill.

It's the equivalent to us watching a movie. Dogs have a very heightened sense of smell, so in the way that we like watching a movie sticking their head out of the window and sniffing is just as entertaining.

They like the smells...
But it doesn't matter, keep the windows closed, don't let them do it.
The wind in the eyes leads to cataracts, the more wind the sooner the cataracts will arrive. Cataracts cause a loss of vision and is a costly surgical correction for something that can be prevented.

Because as you're driving along, ghosts throw invisible Scooby Snacks at your car. Your dog has a better chance of catching them if his head's out the window.
Geez, what an easy question...

Dogs love to feel the breeze as well as it helps them smell the scents from all over the place. It isn't recommended though as they can get stuff in their eyes and lungs and it can cause infections and make the dog very sick.

They like the sound their nose makes at high speeds. Sort a whistling sound my dog tells me.
