I was 14 years old and my sister took me to a hair dresser close to my town that I never went before. She had her shop in her kitchen and she had a baby in diapers and the house smelled like dirty diapers and a wet dog and fried fish. It was very chaotic in there. With all the excitement and smells, the hair dresser cut too much off the top of my head, making the one side shorter than the other. The fish burned, the baby cried and the hair dresser stepped on the dogs tail and made him yip. What a disaster!! Needless to say, we never went there again!

What about you what was the worst bad haircut experience you've ever had?

I went in to get a crew cut, but I had specific instructions for the Barber.

I used to get flat tops all of the time when I was younger, but I didn't want that box shaped 50s boyscout kind of a haircut, I always got a flat top with the corners rounded off so the thing conformed more naturally to the shape of your head. Basically it was just the normal marine kind of haircut.

I always went to military barbers and they always knew exactly what to do because it was just a standard haircut.

One time though I was at a barber shop in a small town in Michigan where I was in college, and I tried to explain to the barber the exact look I wanted and when I told him I wanted the corners rounded off he clearly misunderstood.

He just buzzed the whole thing off about a millimeter from my head all the way around.

I expected to look like a Marine and I came away looking like a Neo-Nazi.

It looked really goofy and all of my dorm mates thought it was hilarious. I thought it was hilarious too, and I tipped the barber three or four dollars anyway.

It was funny.

By my MOM !!! - I was 10.

It was the day before I was to leave for summer camp.
My mom decided that I needed a "trim".
She decided to save time and do it herself. It was her first time!
Every five minutes or so she would tell me that it was too
long on one side and she needed to "even it out".
I was getting nervous with the way she was holding the scissors.

After about 40 minutes she gave up and told me to run down to the barbershop before it closed to see if they could "fix" it.
When I got to the barbershop (which I had gone to twice monthly for four years), the barbers all looked at me and started laughing.
They knew what happened and did the best they could.

When I got home, I snuck two extra ball caps into my duffel bag.
I wore a hat every day for all three weeks of summer camp (even in the river - where I wore the one hat I didn't particularly care about.)

I've had to many of those. I'll tell you about the last one. About a year and a half ago I had really long hair that I dyed red. It was nice and easy to do. I thought I would get a little bit of a style done to it. BIG MISTAKE! The guy I went to was highly recommended to me and I had seen allot of hair that he had done. Anyways, I took in pictures with me and told him what I wanted. He did not listen to me and little did I know that he was razoring my hair in the back. I couldn't see what he as doing. He hacked out about 50 percent of my thickness and I have fine straight hair. My hair was very thin and frayed, he razored out hair about a couple inches from my scalp, I was so horrified. I'm not kidding I looked like I was going bald. My beautiful hair was domalished. I wore my hair up for almost a year, but that was hard to do because it was so thin, but I didn't want to cut it off into a two inch pixie. After it grew for months I had enough growth so that something cute could be done with it. WRONG! the girl I went to butcherd my hair and cut it way to short and haphazardly. I wanted to totally kill because I waited a year to have normal hair and I could have, but she ruined it for me. So I've been growing this mess out for about three months now. I'm really sick of this and very depressed. I just want normal looking hair again. I have no choice but to curl it before going in public so that it doesn't look chopped up. I'm looking for a new hair dresser.

Once I told the stylist to cut my hair short, I had averagely long hair, so I tell her to cut it around to the neck area, but not too straight and flat I wanted volume, but she cut it at the level to my ears, so I couldn't even put my hair behind my ears, because it has too short, I hated the style and shortness, but eventually I worked around it and made a whole new look, some people hated it others loved or maybe just lied to me.lol.

I went to have my haircut and told the beautician I wanted to grow my sides out to be as long as the back. Instead she cut the back up to meet the sides!! Not to mention when she was done I had no bangs because she cut them so short. I was horrified.

I just got my hair cut yesterday, and I decided to try something new: straight-across bangs. The woman cut them too short over my eyebrows and made them all fringy and just AWFUL. Then she thinned out my hair and now it poofs up around the top. I started crying this morning then put it up in a ponytail. I cannot wait for this stupid cut to grow out! Not to mention I start school in about two months. :(

Too many to write about, now I stick with a hairdresser that I use and like and most of all trust to give my hair the best cut/trim she can and she does a great job.

I was 11, and I wanted a long shag. I ended up with a short shag and thought I looked like a boy. I refused to go to school for 2 days. Mom had to drag me there on the 3rd day...lol.
