-6.00 is a dioptric measurement used to determine the power in lenses needed for you to see to your best visual acuity. This does not tell which row of letters on the chart you can read...ex. 20/20, 20/30, etc...since it is subjective and not everyone can be corrected to the same visual acuity.- for a prescription as high as yours the highest letter on the chart (the big E) is probably unreadable without correction - this means that your vision is worse than 20/400 or >20/400 when you are not wearing yoru correction.
