Recently was given an adorable insane black kitten. Eyes were a great blue color but they have since turned "Black Cat Green". She is a fine edition to the family that includes a full grown black cat, a shepard/lab mix dog and a mini poodle dog.
The cat is 3 months old and is the size of the miniature poodle. I know she is going to be a BIG kitty. My question is when do cats stop growing?

I love black cats. My whole family has them I guess because so few people seem to want the black ones. Every household in my family has 2 black cats.

i have 3 cats that r almost 3 years old and they r still growing. but i noticed with one of my old cats that is about 8 years old and he is huge and he is black but i also noticed with cats that males tend to grow bigger expectually black cats. and watch what your feeding cause some foods have formulas that make them grow faster. maybe that will help.

Well... Cats never stop, they grow throughout their whole lives, but they do slow down a bit between 8 months to a year and a half of age. then after a yr, Year and a half, you will notice them not growing so fast.

she should stop growing by the time she's a year old.

I have a black kitten too and she is almost 7 months old. She's already as big as my oldest cat who is 3, and nearly as big as her mama who is 2.

They tend to stop growing at about a year, though they can grow a little up to a year and a half, depending on breed and health/diet/growth patterns of the particular cat.

It is possible for them to grow for a whole year but many gain their full size at 9 months.

At about 6-8 months she should be her full adult size, but after 3 months her growth rate should be starting to slow down.

A year to a year and a half: That's how long my two youngest kitties grew, especially the male. And he's a big cat, if somewhat spoiled!

Black cats tend to be a bit bigger and also can gain weight quickly so watch it.

My Midnight who is almost 7, weighs about 25 lbs and he's not really that overweight, he's very big. He's over 3 ft paw to paw and is quite tall. We call him our little er... medium panther.
