Im getting points and not sure what they are for on yahoo? I like getting the points, but don't have a clue what they are for.....kinda funny!

Points are an addictive EGO BRIBE to keep people posting answers.
The whole yahoo answers thing depeds on people ANSWERING the questions that are posted. So points are "monopoly money" that can be used to keep the answers coming.
Every answer posted gets those points.

Yahoo says they are good for something but what I don't know.
I know I get more points now that I am on Level 4

They are just to encourage people to participate. Because many, like you, like getting points. Even if they don't serve any real purpose.
