Brewed coffee...there are about 70 mg. of caffiene in a shot of espresso, while there are about 140 in the average cup of coffee. Of course if you drank a whole CUP of espresso, lol...also, there is more caffiene in lighter roasts than darker, contrary to popular belief.

Brewed coffee.....if comparing a shot of coffee or a shot of espresso then the espresso has more. But a shot compared to a regular cup of coffee...coffee has more caffiene.

Oh wow, now that I know there is less caffeine in a shot of espresso than in a cup of coffee, I won't waste my money on the fancy stuff, since a plain cup o' Joe will do the trick even better. Thank you, baristas!
