What? The link above merely explains the meaning of a particular phrase. It doesn't have any religious implications whatsoever.

I think all life is suspension of disbelief. After all, we know that we're all going to die, and we'll never know when, and we fear death, but we suspend our knowledge for a little fiction: fictions that life is good, that everything's gonna be okay, that we'll love, etc. Faith is a manifestation of our inherently optimistic natures.

Did you ever see the episode of "RUGRATS" where Tommy's sister had a boyfriend named Z who everyone was convinced was bad? Even when presented with pretty good evidence against him she stood by Z , and in the end everyone found that they were wrong. She trusted Z because she KNEW him.

Faith is kind of like that. I used to be very opposed to Christianity. VERY OPPOSED. It was a series of events that led me to get to know that God is for real. After taking some time to know Him, I know Him well enough to know that certain unanswerable questions will ultimately be answered and that God's word will hold up. I am not suspending disbelief so much as suspending belief in that which does not line up with the one source of truth I've come to trust.

There is lots of suspension of disbelief in science. In science many theories are used to solve many problems but many times there will be two theories that totally contradict each other. Eventually, either the theories are revised when more is known, or a third theory unites the two.

You mean willful holding back of disbelief? Wouldn't that mean that those people really didn't believe then? Because disbelief cannot exist unless you...well, disbelieve. So, if I have sincere belief, I cannot be suspending disbelief. Sorry.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

Welcome to Wikipedia,
the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit.

This is at the tope of the home page for wikipedia.

I can go in and edit that page. Anyone can put their 2 cents in that "encyclopedia". If I were you, I wouldn't exactly put my trust in anything that is on that website.

God is not fiction, he is real, so no you are wrong, Faith is not suspension of disbelief.
