Surely the muslim God Allah is the same God that Abraham Isaac and Jacob worshipped, which is also the same God which Christians and Jews worship today. Why do you talk as though you believe there are differnt Gods? It is just different names and different ways of worshipping HIM.

I think if most Christians were able to speak freely, without having a death threat made against them, they would say that they don't believe Mohammed's dreams, if he actually had them, really came from God and that the Qur'an is really a collection of parts of Judaism, Christianity and Arabic culture reproduced ,in some cases inaccurately due to a lack of real understanding, by the writers of the Qur'an.
Bear in mind that the word Qur'an means something like 'He collected things together', and the Arabs of Mohammed's time were exposed to a lot of teaching and preaching from the Christian and Jewish elders. In fact many of them had been Christians at first. It was Mohammed's cousin who was a Christian who told him that it must have been the angel Gabriel who had appeared in the dreams he spoke about.

Muhammad was not a prophet and Allah is not God. Since those two constitute the core of the muslim faith, it ends the debate.
The entire Qu-ran is based on an illiterates interpretation of dreams and demonic oppression. Men came after the initial 'revealing' and "fixed" the problems that existed in the first version. A Muslim is torn between the belief in a false prophet, the words of Moses that were revealed to him from God, Jesus who they consider a prophet, the psalms of David (who was a Jew in which they seem bent on destroying) and the gospel of Jesus which is in direct contradiction to the Qu-ran.
This is a very mixed up religion with dangerous undertones.

The Quran is only 1200 years old and the Old Testament is 3500 years old. The old testament makes predictions about the Christ, Jesus fulfills these predictions...over 230 of them. The Quran even though has some lessons in it that can be useful in life doesn't have any historical evidence to support it and tries to use the Old Testament as its history. Unfortunately it then claims that Jesus is not the messiah but simply a profit, well this does not add up since he claimed to be the Son of God and if this is untrue then it would make a liar out of a profit.

Bow your knee and confess Jesus Christ is Lord. Turn away from your sin and turn to Jesus.
Islam has no answers only rules. Islam is a cruel faith, to women, to children, to everyone who isn't a Muslim. Allah is supposed to be merciful, yet you can't really know this. What has Allah done for your sin? nothing that's what. Your faith is based on do's and dont's and if anybody steps off the mark, speaks out against Islam he or she is killed. Is this mercy? You say that as a Muslim you worship only Allah, and yet the Quran is worshipped as a god, Mohammad is also been worshipped as a god. How do I know this? because if anyone speaks out of line against these two then they are dealt with severely. Does your God need defending? Is he weak? Can't he fight his own battles? Nowhere in the bible will you find that God/Jesus wants us to kill in his name. Jesus is merciful and will accept you right now as a child of the true God. The true KING.
To prove my point you are probably angry regarding this answer. You probably would like to give me a good beating up for speaking out against the Quran, Mohammad, and even Allah.
Why don't I turn to Islam? Because your faith is built on lies and deception, and even if it wasn't. Even if Islam was the right way to Go I would never turn to it because its utter evil in every shape and form.
Does that answer your question.

I've just read some of the answers that people have given you. Why are you angry with them? If your faith is true you have no need to worry. Why if you have the truth are you afraid that your faith is discredited? People have persecuted Christians for the past 2000 years including Muslims, yet we still praise the Lord and tell those people that Jesus is the only way. Praise God that many Muslims are coming to Christ and getting away from that evil religion.

I guess all Muslims regard everyone as being born a muslim? But others follow pagan religions? Can be saved only when they realise who the true god is? Am not sure..pls correct me.

Considering religions with gods:How can we believe in something where there is no evidence? Why does god create so much suffering thru war and natural disasters?

Each person is born into a religion...and cannot be forced into one. Its upto an adult to research and if convinced convert. All religions teach good.

Those who believe in one God believe he exists in all times and places, yes? So would you have been Muslim had you been born 3000 years ago -- or 3000 years from now?

No -- you would have followed another religion. If Islam expressed eternal truth it would have always been there through all of human history, and we would have a continuous record of it.

We are the products of our times. Each particular religion is a product of a specific society and a specific era. Ask yourself -- personal aspects aside, would you be asking this question if not for the fact that recent history and current events made it important? I doubt it.

Organised religion is a constant feature of human society, but no one religion can claim to express the ultimate truth of all of human history. Contemplate that, before you embark on proselytizing the rest of us.

I believe in Islam. I believe it is a religion, one of many religions in this human-world. I believe Muslims are pious people, generally speaking. But I am not a Muslim.

Why should I be a Muslim? Why should I not be a Muslim? No apparent reason. May be there is a reason.

I am a Hindu. I was born a Hindu.

Religion is Man-made. It is not given by God. It is not created by God. We are what we believe we are. Every person has the right to be what they want to be. God has never insisted that people must believe in Him, in the first place, forget whether they should believe in Islam, Christianism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism and so forth. God has never restricted a person from practising one religion vs. another. Neither should we. Neither should we even ask a question like this.

The reasons for this is as follows:-

I have heard from other religions that if a person does not believe in that religion, then he/she will go to Hell after death. If that is true, then every body is going to Hell. If Islam believed in it, then all people but Muslims would go to Hell. If Christianism believed in it, then all non-christians would go to Hell. If Hinduism believed that every non-Hindu goes to hell, then all non-Hindus would go to Hell. This is very foolish. Therefore Hinduism never said that. In fact, Hinduism never believed in converting people of other religions to Hinduism. If I came up to you and ask you to convert to my religion, and you asked "why", what am I supposed to say. If I said, "because Hinduism is good", then you would say "So are you saying my religion is bad"? You get it? Hinduism respects other religions and therefore never solicits, requests, demands nor even asks non-Hindus to become Hindus.

So, asking a question like this or even suggesting others to change their religion is, in my opinion, highly offensive.

I am not a Muslim (or a Christan or a Hindu or a Buddhist or a member of any sect or religion) because I already believe in God and He has shown me that all religions are but a path to Him so I must love all seekers after truth and God above all.

Because I choose not to be. The Quran is full of contradictions like the Bible is. Answer my question. What was Man created from?
Water? (25:54; 24:45)
A Clot? (96:1-2)
Clay? (32:7)
Dust? (35:11)

Which is it?
