Hi my name is ashlee and i have been going with this guy for almost 10 months and the other night he said that he knew exactly what he wanted to get me for my 18th birthday and it could be a birthday/graduation present and i guessed and i got it right it was A WEDDING RING....What do you say to that?

I say you should immediately direct this young man to your Father. If he thinks he is ready to "man up" and take on the responsibilities of being a husband and a father he should have a pair big enough to tell your Father what his intentions are.
After all this has happened... provided he was able to grab a pair and talk to your Dad... listen to what your Dad has to say about all this.

Say No my daughter is getting ready 2 turn 18 next month herself and she was proposed 2 and I told her she was 2 young rt now 2 get married cuz she's just starting life. I know it sounds good and all but u have a life x ahead of u before u should have 2 make that type of decision. Y can't u guys just get ingaged 4 about a yr or so and c how things go fm there. U really don't know some1 until u move in w/them and some x's after u get married there's more surprises. I'm not trying 2 discourge u in anyway cuz it's ur choice, but really think about it before u make that jump, cuz it's not peaches and creams like alot of people make it out 2 sound like.

nope... i have whole life.... ........... ...... telll u what alot of girlz during high school that i knew got that ring? you know what happened? whatever... i dunno if they got married or anything but they for sure got pregnant.. now they are at home with babies... some of the guys are with them some of them are not.... they were dump.... 18? you are so young girl you dunt know what you are missing of.... and those girls that feel that is like the right thing to do is because ... they have problems at home that they cant fix and they think they are gonna be saved ... by moving in with a guy ..tell u this.. it gets worse !!!. if u cant have family communication how can you expect relationship communication?. Besides that divorce rates are higher than ever.. for every 5 couples that get marry 3 will divorce!!... thats statistics... why would you be the exeptioN? think about it ........ love is beautiful ... but commitement is for life!!! go to college and study something! and then you can have all the kids you ever wanted!!!

well, that is sweet of him, but ashlee, you must not forget that you can not trust the future and live the present! therefore,i suggest you keep him only as a boy-friend and not as a future-husband in your heart!

First thing that u have to ask urself is are u ready to get married? are u ready to commit? do u love him? are u willing to spend the rest of your life with him?.All these things u have to think twice before u make decision.U're only 18,u have a long long long way to go in your life,u have lots opportunities to take in your life..

if you think you are ready for marriage then go for it.marriage is hard work, its not always fun.make sure you can commit to him fully, have a long engagement, that will give you an idea if this is right for you

if u really love this guy, and u want to marry him, then say yes. but if you feel like you guys need to be together a lil longer and get to kno each other a lil better, then say no, but dont tell him you dont like him. just be like " i really like you and all, but i just feel like now is not the time to be proposing to me. lets just wait a lil longer." i hope my answer helps you. =]]
