You can still plan to take her some where but do it in the future. for now i would just let her stay at home but you could always cook her a romantic dinner and get some candles. buy her something she would like, and some flowers.

Think of things you can do inside the house since she is obviously not able to do much outdoors. What type of food does she like? What don't you get a nice recipe and cook it from scratch; it really does not matter if it comes out perfect she will appreciate the thought and effort you put into it. What about renting 2 or 3 of her favorite movies? Does she like stuffed animals? Get one for her; wake her up at midnight the day of her birthday and surprise her with it. Tell her you just wanted to be the first person to say "happy birthday" to her.

Get some flowers, a romantic candle light dinner, chockies and spoil her rotten. She will be in bed for a few days at least (I don't know what the surgery was). Put a TV/DVD player in her room snuggle up and let her watch her favourite girly movies. I'm sure that you can handle that for one day. Comedies are better left for later as laughing can hurt.

take her to a nice hotel with a jacuzzi, buy a pedicure set, massaging oils, and candles to give her a pedicure and a massage, if you don't know how to massage then just make sure the oil is the kind that heats up when you apply it to the skin, and also make sure it has a nice relaxing smell (body shop or bath and body works). tell her to relax, light the candles and give her a bath with the bubbles rolling. If she is of age purchase a nice bottle of wine or champagne... oops she's on meds she can't drink so make sure you keep her attention, no TV just soft music and talk to her.

Hmmm I say get like 200 pictures of her favorite place. I'm assuming like a tropical area or beach or something but ok neway....go around and find a WHOLE bunch of calandars w/beautiful pictures. Rip the pictures out and while she's at the dr.'s or something, tape ALL of the pix to her wall. Make sure EVERY INCH IS COVERED WITH PICTURES!!!!! When she gets home she'll be like OMG OMG. Then make her her favorite cocktail or drink (cuz sorry she just had surgery) and treat her to a wonderful day in paradise at home. Try to learn how to sing her favorite song too, but like change the lyrics to something like, " -NAME- i want u to heal faster........." u know...be creative!
Hope i helped!!!!
Good LUCK!!! :)

Lets see...If she can't go out..Maybe get her some of her favorite take out food and some movies and you guys have a night at home...Then when she is free to go on her trip..take her. You could even get the tickets and wrap them for her. I know its not the greatest advice..but maybe it will help.

a nice dinner either cooked by you or brought in from a nice restaurant, complete with flowers, tablecloth and candle. Then a DVD movie after that she will need to call it a night.
