The other guy in the same bible was not so lucky.
The story of Jephthah's daughter is recorded in the eleventh chapter of Judges, beginning with verse 29:
Then the spirit of Yahweh came upon Jephthah and he passed through Gilead and Manaseh… Jephthah made this vow to Yahweh: 'If thou will deliver the Amonites into my hands, then the first creature that comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return from them in peace shall be given to Yahweh; I will offer that as a whole-offering.' So Jephthah crossed over to attack the Ammonites, and Yahweh delivered them into his hands… But when Jephthah came to his house in Mizpah, who should come out to meet him with tambourines and dances but his daughter, and she his only child… When he saw her he rented his clothes and said, 'Alas, my daughter, you have broken my heart… I have made a vow to Yahweh and I cannot go back.' She replied, 'Father, you have made a vow to Yahweh; do to me what you have solemnly vowed, since Yahweh has avenged you on the Ammonites, your enemies. But, father, grant me this one favor. For two months let me be, that I may roam the hills with my companions and mourn that I must die a virgin.' … At the end of two months she came back to her father, and he fulfilled the vow he had made; she died a virgin.

Arent u bible bashers supposed to love god more than anything?
If so the person u love the most must be god, surely?
And then it follows that he would b askin u to sacrifice his life dont it? Well i for one would have no qualms about sacrificing gods life, (if the c.u.n.t existed) especially seeing as his kid managed to come back - what the f.u.c.k can that c.u.n.t do then, if his little boy can rise from the dead???
Therefore no test and ur q is a load of bollox, like ur beliefs adn that stupid book u all quote from.
Try reading gods debris and then u'll see what its all about, ,lol.

Yes God is the head of my life. My wife and children, and also my parents, brothers and sisters have come to except it. I have given up the ways of the world for God.Which at one time I thought to be a huge sacrifice, but in return I have become even more blessed in ways unimaginable. I am not perfect but I strive to be like him. For God is my strength and the Holy Ghost is my leader, teacher and guide. Praise the Lord.
St. Matthew 10:37,38
37) He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38) And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39) He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Question: So how serious are you about your soul? Would you give up the ways of the world? Put God before your own family, and before your ownself? E-mail me. I pray for you. Amen
P.S
This is what the sacrifice symbolizes: Example Question:
Your son/daughter growing up was a disobedient, drug dealing, alcohol drinking, gang banging, fornicating sinner. One day decides to commit murder. You being so Christ-like, loved your son/daughter so much that you would be willing to lie so that your son/daughter will not recieve punishment? Is that the type of sacrifice you are willing to give for God? Because God is truth and if you are Christ-like, then you do not hold back truth. Even if it means for your own children or family. Again I pray for you. Amen

Yes, it is commanded in the bible and one mormon even killed his new born son because he believed god was testing him to that. I read in a book by some psychiatrist on strange cases. He tried stabbing his son with his eyes closed the first time and the baby turned over and he missed and he still didn't believe and he stabbed again this time getting the baby in the stomach. Then they put a band aid on it waiting for god to heal it and the baby cried and cried and died later. The bible makes me sick and people who bileve in it make me even sicker!

No. Someone I love comes before any god, who also gave me the free will to do just that. A god who asks for sacrifice this way is not fit to 'rule' and contradicts this free will gift. Such things are manmade, prove to me blah blah that you are true and faithful, these are words from an insecure and jealous man not a god who wouldnt need to make such demands.

hell yea. God is God - you do what he says. Great thing is that He is a good God - I can't imagine a better one. By the way - Abraham had faith is God's promise to make a great nation out of Issac. He might have thought that even if he did kill him - God could raise him from the dead.

Well, if God told me to sacrifice somebody, I'd sure as hell do it. Why? Because of trust and faith, i'd know he is testing me. If I refuse a request from God, what kind of Christian would I be?

actually it was Abraham who was told to sacrifice his son but then God stopped him to prove his loyalty to God . God stopped him because he would never want anybody to sacrifice any one . yes it can be right because he did it to prove his loyalty.
