Hair obviously takes a long time to grow and if you dont want to wait that long then you kinda cant have long hair...
But if you want to try to restore your hair you can go to cvs or somewhere like that and get deep conditioner and put that in your hair, it is reallly good for your hair and will help restore it
Also if you are trying to grow your hair out you need to get your hair trimmed every few weeks or when you start getting split ends because your hair wont grow when you have split ends

This isn't what most people would tell you, but trust me I'm a Pentecostal. Treat your hair really good. Use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, put leave in conditioner in it when it is still wet, and braid it when you sleep at night, to lock in the nutrients. Whenever you can wear it in a braid, it helps it grow. You might want to stay away from using to many products in your hair, like gel and stuff. And although people say to trim it, don't. What needs to come off will fall off.

Go to your hairdresser and ask him/her to give you a treatment called Shines....by paul mitchell. The hairdresser puts it on your hair and you sit under a hot dryer for about 25 minutes. You can do that once a month for a few months. It took my hair about 4 months to start looking healthy again.

I get comments on my hair alllllllll the time now! It has stopped breaking, it grows fairly quickly and it is unbelievably shiny and healthy.

I also take hair vitamins, you can find them in the natural foods section of your supermarket or at a health food store. They really work for me. Also add foods with lots of folic acid into your diet...oranges...some breads. Check the labels of things.

good luck!!!

ps. there may be other conditioning treatments that will work just as well, talk to your hairdresser

just keep using deep conditioning treatments and hot oil treatments. wear your hair down at night and brush it every night with a boar hair brush and massage your head a lot to stimulate the scalp.
and DON"T cut your hair, not even a trim, if your hair looks uneven and ratty, use a curling iron and curl the bottom under if you have to go out or something, but don't ever cut it at all if you really want to grow it, for like a year. no joke.
FYI , My hair is thick and just below the middle of my back.

you want long hair because it sexy and beautiful right? Well long damaged hair isn't. Go to a salon and tell them that you want to grow you hair out they will cut it, probably a lot the first time, then they will cut it every couple of months until it is healthy again. They might want to go darker on you. Lighting damages your hair but darkening with a good color can acutely help your hair look healthier.

Get it trimmed once a month. Your hair is not going to get any longer as long as there is damage and split ends because it just breaks. I have heard that mashed up avocados worked through hair and left to sit for 10 minutes before hair is washed helps to strengthen it. Your other option is, of course, extensions, but personally, I think they're gross.

WELL NOT COLORING IT ANYMORE IS A GOOD START...IF THE ENDS ARE REAL DRY GET THEM TRIMMED OFF...AND ANOTHER THING YOU CAN GET ,,GO TO A BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE LIKE SALLY'S AND GET YOURSELF A CONTAINER OF WHAT THEY CALL CHOLESTEROL...IT LOOKS LIKE BUTTER...WHAT YOU DO IS SHAMPOO RINSE AND THEN PUT A SMALL AMOUNT OF THIS IN YOUR HAIR AND WORK IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH YOUR HAIR TO THE ENDS...PUT A PLASTIC BAG ON YOUR HEADS TO COVER THE HAIR ..LET THIS SET THERE FOR ABOUT HOUR IF YOU CAN TAKE IT THAT LONG...RINSE AND I MEAN RINSE...THIS STUFF RINSES OUT FAIRLY EASY.....DO THIS ONCE A WEEK FOR ABOUT A MONTH YOU WILL SEE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN YOUR HAIR...BUT EVERY 6-8 WEEKS YOU NEED TO GET YOUR ENDS TRIMMED OFF. WHAT HAPPENED WHEN YOU COLORED IT THE ENDS BECAME DRY AND THEY STARTED TO SPLIT AND NOW THEY ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO SPLIT TILL TOY GET TO THE GOOD HAIR WHICH IS WAY UP ON YOUR HEAD BUT IF YOU DO WHAT I JUST SAID IT WILL HELP 100%...TRUST ME I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT...........

What I would do is get it trimmed, I know I know but it will be shorter. But it will get rid of your damage ends and help make it grow faster. Also you can put leave in conditioner on the ends of your hair to prevent breakage. Breakage is what keeps your hair shorter. Plus eat jello, it makes your nails grow longer, it may do the same for your hair? I don't know? But definitly get your hair trimmed.

You do need to get your hair trimmed once a month. use a deep conditioning mask like Pantene or Aussie's 3 minuted miracle (which I love). Don't use damaging products like a curling iron. Make sure your getting your vitamins, and you can take a hair, skin, & nails supplement if need be.
