It will vary from department to department, some have interal affairs, others have a citizen board that over sees activities.

Also county sheriff office in most states can investigate city police of crimes. The states attorney generals office can also investigate all of them

It dose seem to me who ever makes there pockets bigger has the most influence.

in my city we voted down more police. so they held a fund raiser like $100-$500 a plate. so i figure the new police officers probably gonna pick on those guys first?

oh yea its your duty to keep the police in check.

They dont need policing. They are all fine, morally upstanding gentlemen. If these people were'nt police officers they would all be monks or nuns.
