Sweet Potatos are the healthiest, what about red and white, are they any healthier than your classic Russett potatos?

Try white-sweet potatoes.
They are actually sweeter than the orange ones.
I cut mine into 1/2 inch discs and fry them in virgin olive oil.
The heat brings out the natural sweetness.
Finger-lickin' good!

Sweet Potatoes are yams. They are a squash so are they even in the same category? But they are yummmy!!

Many people feel that the whiter the food the least healthy it is for you. My diabetes nurse gave that hint to me as a type of quick reference when eating starches.
