The oboe is one of the most awesome instruments in the world, featuring a double reed for its sound.

I envy you if you can play it. The most I've ever heard out of it is a strangely ducky noise, except for professional players.

If you like classical oboe music, I'd suggest Cimarosa...

Great music!

I love the oboe. I would never be able to play it though. I'm strictly brass and strings. But I like the sound of the oboe. It's so magestic. Some ppl may think I'm weird. But u have to be a real good reed player to play the oboe. I admire that about anyone...Oboe is cool!

An oboe is a woodwind instrument played through double reeds. It looks similar to a clarinet, but has more of a "duck" tone. I love the sound of the oboe, but I hear it's very difficult to play. It's related to the bassoon.

Oboe - A slender woodwind instrument with a conical bore and a double-reed mouthpiece, having a range of three octaves and a penetrating, poignant sound

An oboe is a great way to irritate my neighbors!
I also play saxophones, but you can get way squeakier with an oboe than on a soprano sax.

My sister plays the oboe. I prefer English Horn myself, oboe is too high-pitched and whiny for me.

It's a double-reed woodwind instrument that has a conical tube, a brilliant penetrating tone, and a usual range from B flat below middle C upward for over 2½ octaves.

An annoying double reed instrument that burns about half as long as a bassoon.
