This girl is really putting herself out there telling me she wants to cook for me and just be there for me. And I don't want to hurt her feelings by telling her nothing will ever come of it, b/c I have been in the other persons shoes and rejection hurts. What do I do b4 it turns scarry?

Sorry......"real world here".......people hurt people and get hurt all the time. That is the way life is BUT we learn from it. Pain goes away in time. The longer you take to tell her, the worse it's going to be. We ALL have gone through it (adults) and will possibly (even after being married) STILL hurt sometimes. You have to be honest. If your heart isn't in it and you can't tell her, how is she going to feel LATER? Who are you living your life for??? I'm pretty sure it's not her. You need to live your life for YOU. She is not your responsibility. You can be nice about it and say you want to just be friends or tell her that you are intersted in someone else. Don't drag it on though.

Take a deep breath, open your mouth, and use your lips to form these words: "I need to let you know that while I really enjoy your company, I don't feel that we can ever be more than friends." It is always best to let the other person know so they can make the choice to settle for friendship or cut bait and look somewhere else.

Be as gentle as possible when you try to tell her---no matter how kind you are with her, it will hurt her because it is rejection. But if you are kind and careful, she will remember that and possibly be a good friend for you later on down the road...good luck

Be honest with her but be sensitive to her feelings, remember, you have been there b4, i think we all have been there b4 1x or another.

If you like her only as a friend you should let her know...Try letting her know over dinner, as friends, don't embarrass her. Let her know that your interest is not the same, but would Like to be friends only....By letting her know, will let her know you are not out to hurt her, or take advantage of her. just be honest with her.

Dude. 15, 20 years from now. You'll regret not giving her a chance.

Anyhow. Just tell her how you fell. It is part of being a man at times. Dealing with what you don't want to deal with.

When I was your age, I should have let every girl who wanted, have me.

Be honest with her. Tell her that while you can always be friends that you just don't feel the chemistry with her to have a more intimate relationship. And if she's cool with that, you've probably made a friend for life. :)

Good luck!

Be honest. Thank her for her concern for you but tell her that if she's looking for more than friendship, it's not coming from you. Honesty is the best policy; you should know that as you stated you were in those shoes too...........

A little hurt today is better than a big hurt tomorrow. She needs to get on with her life. So do you.
