I am 20 years old and had sex a few months ago for the first time with a friend. Well it wasn't really sex, because I was a virgin I told him he had to go really slow and be gentle. He was very sweet about it but it hurt me so much that I had to tell him to stop. So it only last a few minutes. It was painful and even made me bleed...and now I don't want to try it again. What can I do to make it less painful? We used lubrication and protection, however I was nervous, which I know didn't help the situation. But I never imagined it hurting so much. Any help would be much appreciated.

Its normal for it to hurt the first time. And there will be some bleeding. This is because you have a covering over the inside of your vagina called a hymen. When that covering breaks, as it will the first time your penetrated, it will hurt and you may have some bleeding. You shouldnt let it scare you. All women go through the same thing. Its also normal to be nervous the first time. Your boyfriend was too.

First of all, you had sex. You're not a virgin anymore.

Second, if it was too painful, you may want to consult your doctor, that's not normal.

You may want to try finding a dildo that is smaller than your partner and work with it at your own pace.

But stay positive - either it is something you'll get past or it's something that you may need some medical treatment for - and then you'll get past it.

You must have someone who will take a long time to get you ready,it wont hurt if you are not nervous and ready, just dont let someone rush, its beautiful if you have a lot of foreplay first

it probably hurt because your were nervous, you probably werent very comfortable either. for me, the first time hurt a lil and i bled a lil bit. but the guy was so caring a gentle, that i felt so comfortable. next time, just make sure you're 100% ready and not so nervous.

it kept hurting for like the next five times for me, it kinda took awhile for it not to hurt anymore. thats why i did it with someone i love, because it was worth it when it stopped being painful.

The only thing that I think will help will be trusting the one you are with and feeling tottally comfortable with them. Now that the "cherry popped" it shouldn't be as bad.

oh you popped your cherry. aka you broke your hymen. a little layer of skin in your vagina that breaks when u have sex for the 1st time. so it bleeds! usually it happens before sex when your streching or something.
