It actually depends on the state, I believe. Some it will be on your credit report for seven years for some ten years. Since last year I know that there have been new bankruptcy laws put into place. It makes it harder to file.

Filing bankruptcy should be your last resort. Cause it's a long hard climb to get that back again.

Good luck!

It takes seven years for bankruptcy to fall off your credit report. To help recover your credit score. Try getting a reasonable credit card, charge things and and pay it off in full each month. This will help try to even out the nastiness of bankrutcy

Usually it is 10 years. Rarely is 7 years. It depends when you filed and which Chapter of the bankruptcy.

It usually takes 7 to 11 years. And yet there is still a chance that a diligent inquiry would reveal a past bankruptcy.
Not a wise thing to declare bankruptcy. Work with your creditors to clear up your debts.
And stop spending so damn much money. If you don't have the money in the bank, don't buy it.
