I suspect they were bitten by Betty Crocker after she came down with the rabies virus.

Is there a fetish or addiction associated with recipes? Are these the same women who have little knit cozy covers for their toasters and kitchen appliances? Maybe the recipe freaks are like the two charming aunts in "Arsenic and Old Lace."

I don't know but it is pretty darn annoying.

If I am asking for a recipe it is because I haven't been able to find what I am looking for on cooking.com or allrecipes.com or any of the other mainstream sites. I am asking the question because I am hoping to find someone with an old family favorite or a new tried and true recipe...not something that no one has ever even made or tasted.

A perfect example is one of my recent questions. I asked for a recipe using fresh coconut milk. The answer that was chosen Best Answer was a recipe that didn't even have coconut milk in it let alone the fresh coconut milk that I asked for.

Does that make sense to you? It didn't to me.

i think they are trying to be thorough ( and get the points) , but I would rather get 1 good tested favorite recipe from 5 people than 20 random ones (cut and pasted) that might not work.

My question to your question is why can't these people search the internet for their recipes? That is what the rest of us do anyway to provide the answers.

for all the answers given to this question , I just answered one for a girl who wants a candy recipe.....one site had over 8,0000+ recipies for CANDY! ! ! ! she could have been a little more specific, but then some of the answers didn't have to be as rude either.

why do you care.....are you jeal?

I'd rather see 20 recipes cut and pasted than stupid remarks any day. How about questions that shouldn't even be posted or the same old questions over-and-over-and-over again...
shall I continue...that's worth griping about instead!
