The acoustics in a bathroom are wonderful! The tile and mirror surfaces echo back the sound, and amplify it, making you sound like your voice is much stronger than it actually is. And because you are usually alone in the bathroom, you are less inhibited and actually do sing better because you're letting it all out. The combination of those two factors is why so many people enjoy singing in the shower or the bath.
Wonder why the recording companies don't just put their stars in the bathroom to record instead of using all the fancy equipment to amplify their voices?

Could be something to do with the joy of getting clean. As mentioned, if you sing in the bathroom, the acoustics off the tiles are good. I think it also has something to do with the privacy of the occasion- I mean, (usually) you're completely alone in there, it's quiet and safe... people may be afraid to sing in front of other people who are going to laugh at them, but it's different when you're having a wash...

because you are alone and no one is with you (unless you bath and shower with others lol) you are more confident so therefore you sing aloud, unless you just like singing. Also because there is a kind of echo and it sounds better.

Well people don't "always" do it there, but I think that some who do enjoy singing, but know that others may not enjoy their singing, so they do it behind closed doors with the water running, to drown out the sound, so as not to annoy others.

because its better than singing on the roof, plus theres less chance of falling off. cheers for the points, needed to get off number 69.haha although 71 pritty boring. oh well never mind! enjoy your bath, watch out for the bubbles.

You can release your tensions by singing them away and in the shower with the water running no one can hear how bad you might sound!!

i sing in the shower because it makes me feel better. your in hot water and its soothing so you just feel like expressing yourself.
