The catholic church is to blame for the false doctrine.
However again if you want to try to make a case that this is a contradiction then go back and read it again. The woman was deceived. Adam was not deceived but chose to disobey God.
If you read the whole 5 chapter of Romans you'll see that Paul also speaks of Jesus and Moses. What he is talking about is our inheritance. Through Adam we inherit death, through Moses the law, through Jesus reconciliation.
Another example of someone pulling out one or two verses and not using them as the writer intended.

God said the man and wife are one flesh.
So eve touching and eating of the fruit of the tree was not enough to cause both of their eyes to be opened. For man has dominion over the wife. He knew this fact, and instead of refusing to follow along, he deferred to eve.
By Adam following what eve had done, now the deed was done. SO, by one Man sin entered into the world.

I believe no one to be blamed. It's a grand plan meant to take place. To become perfect one must learn and do away the imperfection. Every soul has given that opportunity to learn from scratch. Think of these: The plot in that garden is actually an initiation to all would be soul prior incarnation. The order "do not eat" was a test whether you're spiritually matured enough to elevate to higher plain or go back to reincarnate to continue the aim of perfection. I also believe resurrection is equivalent to a title given to those souls who have graduated from reincarnating. Jesus achieved 100% spiritual maturity upon resurrection and promoted to be the right hand of God.

Eve tempted him, but Adam committed the actual sin.
Of course, God is the one who made up the rule which meant there was sin at all. If God hadn't forbidden Adam to do that, we wouldn't all be in this mess. You'd think God would know he was going to break it, since God knows all. If that's true, then God baited humans into sin. Think about that one. haha

Though Eve got into trouble first, God held Adam accountable because he had Lordship of this earth and gave it over to Satan by obeying him.

The concept of riginal sin is a sin itself. It is an attempt to make people ashamed of themselves. Does a baby know how to hide his/her emotions?
No. Did you ever see a baby with a look of guilt on its little face?

I would say Satan. Had he not tempted Eve, she wouldn't have tempted Adam. Had Adam not eaten, we'd be honkey dorey.

eve was the first to act on temptation so in doing that she is the first to "do" sin.
