I live on Oahu right now b/c of military. In my honest opinion I'd rather live almost in any other state than here. First off, it is way too crowded on this island. There is 6 lanes of highway going one way, and from 3:30pm-9pm it is bumper to bumper traffic. Second of all, there is so many homeless people here, it is sick. They fly to hawaii (thinkin it's paradise), arrive here, then can't afford the housing. Third of all, the houses here are not gorgeous. The military housing is the best I've seen yet. The houses are so small and so run down, it is almost a dump on most of the island. No houses come with air condition; so you have to install a window unit (which isn't all that bad) Next, the animals here are sad. All of Hawaii is rabies free, that is a good thing, but they sell mixed animals (example: jack russell/dalmation mix) for $800/each! And there is also soooo many animals on the street, where people just don't care anymore and put them out there hoping someone will pick them up. Natives of Hawaii are rude on the highways, in stores, or at the beach. They still don't like the fact that Hawaii is part of the 50 states and therefore there will be more than natives on the islands. Tax is nice since it's only 4 cents to the dollar. The beaches are pretty yes, but when you go to certain parts of Oahu, the beaches are took over by homeless people living out of the beds of pickup trucks and tents. You also can't leave anything in your car, or leave your car unattended for more than an hour, or you'll come back to no tires, stereo, and busted windows. Anyways, other than all of that Hawaii is a great place, lol. The weather is amazing!

It is a nice place to live, but you have to be prepared for the increased costs. Housing is on the rise. Gas goes for about $3.30 per gallon for regular (about 20 cents higher than average on the U.S. mainland). A gallon of milk goes for about $5. If you're into golfing, there are some really nice courses! And the beaches are great, especially on the North Shore and the windward side.

It's a very beautiful place, but keep in mind that the cost of living there is very high. A friend of mine just got back from there, and he said he was paying like $4.50 for a gallon of milk. Eggs are very expensive there too.

No same temp all year round, no change of seasons, and expensive. tough finding good employment so unless you are independently wealthy ...
beautiful to visit though.

It's perfect; I wouldn't want to reside anywhere else on this planet.
By the way, why do you keep asking this same question over and over? You asked this question just last week!
