Counterfeiting money:
Xerox machine (relatively poor quality, all bills have the same serial numbers)
Bleaching cheap bills ( like 1 or ten dollar bills, and re-printing them to look like 20s or 100s"
Actually printing fake money with a printing press
----------------
Real money
usually feels different,
the colors don't run,
the fakes very rarely have the watermarks,
there are some other things i don't remember, etc

Crooks print money anyway they can. You'd have to be trained on how to tell real money from counterfeit money, unless you have one of those pens. If you mark the bill, and the marking is black, then its counterfeit, if its brown, its real. The US Secret Service also investigates all counterfeit money crimes.

Some buy the same gauge paper and use simular inks, and actually have a printing plate burnt to copy the orginal.
Often many today use color scaners and printers.
The main thing is that the fakes have a hard time matching the green edge on the bill,
But hold your real bill up to the light and look for special marking. also a special pen can be bought to show a fake

you hold up the money in the light, and if its a real 20, you'll see little mini twenties, but if its fake, there'll be no little twenties. also, machines in las vegas, nevada, in circus circus n all, they don't accept counterfeit money, and it'll give it right back to you. they print the money using special machines that they've made, or found, or have been given to.. crooks are crooks because they're smart!
