Yes, illegals, I didn't think anyone would think I meant legal.

No. Heartless is too let our own children (the people of the US) be hurt in the process of helping others.
If we can not help the ones we have we should not be reaching out to others.
If I fed my poor neighbors kids but let my own starve-wouldn't that be abuse?

Interesting to say the least. Although I'm not sure that video is an accurate portrayal of what it's like to be an immigrant in Russia. I say that because that would be like the kids involved in the Columbine school shooting making a video of themselves, then the video being posted on the net and the claim being made that all American kids are like that. Same here, I don't think that's the typical reaction to immigrants in Russia. Although I could be mistaken.

Still, I don't think the American anti-illegal immigrant stance is harsh. Remember to be careful when classifying immigrants. I don't have a problem with legal immigrants, it's illegal immigrants I have a problem with. Most Americans are immigrants, or are from families that were immigrants. I don't think it's wrong or too much to ask that people come here legally.

(No, I didn't think you meant legal immigrants, I just wanted to make sure to clear that up, because if you don't, you'll always have at least one who runs in yelling "I'm here legally! You heartless *****! How dare you say such things about immigrants! I've worked hard, yadda, yadda." You get the idea. Gotta make sure you're careful not to give them something to banter about too much, or you'll have more protests in the streets because people think we're trying to get rid of immigrants, and completely miss the "illegal" part.)

No, I think it's time to start really enforcing the immigration laws, and start holding recall elections to call back the people that have been aiding and promoting this entire mess. Years and years and years of poor oversight, poor enforcement, and poor leadership in regards to the border has now laid a foundation for militancy, deliberate lawlessness, systematic abuse of the United States' extension of good will, and reforming it will take years, and billions of tax dollars. I don't regard Mexico as a 'friendly' country anymore, I think they've done their part to help things along, and the burden of dealing with all of this is now largely falling on american communities, who don't have the resources to deal with the ID theft, and people helping others under less than open circumstances into the United States.
I think the whole thing is systemic, deliberate, and it needs to be stopped, and the first step is building the border fence, the second is dry-eyed employer-level enforcement. Mexicans need to work FOR Mexico IN Mexico, build up their own economy, the whole show, but it needs to happen in THEIR country. America's played host to em long enough, time for em to go home.

No, the USA is not heartless, the politicians are heartless and
Goodnewsbears, if it were up to people like you, Americans wouldn't have a home because we would all be required to give them to illegals and the Constitution wouldn't mean a damn thing because you want to blend church and state.

No. I worked hard to get here. And taxes are killing me. If others want more they can work as hard as I did.
And our local hospital is barely hanging on because of all the people using it for free.
Don't tell me it can't be done. And don't tell me we don't have troubles-to the above post. Get your head out of your butt.
