Here's my story i see this girl every morning that works near my work place coffee shop, ive managed to start a convo once and she was nice, i wanted to ask her out or get at least her number but i dont wanna do it in front of her manager and other customers (coz thats a magnet for trouble) and i dont want her to think that im disrespecting her, i know she loves to read romantic books (coz i see her alot of times in the subway reading romantic books) so here's my plan... Im gonna buy a romantic book before i grab sum coffee at her work place and give her the book, tell her that she dropped her book in the subway (so that no one would think im flirting with her) write a note on the book saying "Ive always wanted to ask ur number but i dont want you to get into trouble, i never take my receipts but if u write ur number on the receipt next time i would take it with a smile and by the way consider this book a gift for making my mornings brighter than usual" so good or bad plan? thanks!

OMG that is a brilliant plan!!! I am envious of this lovely girl. You rock dude!!! I especially like how you are keeping it out of the work place and not making a huge drama in front of everyone. That's a great idea with your romantic self!!!! But why not give her the book on the subway? That's so sweet and I guarantee she'll appreciate the effort you've put into it!

Go for it --- (however, she's gonna know that she didn't "drop" her book) so have a backup incase she looks at you seriously, and tells you that it can't possibly be hers..........(thus never getting your note)...........
You might consider offering the book as something she might enjoy reading --- telling her that you have noticed "what" type of book she is interested in.............
(that will show her that you've noticed "her" and "her interests".........she's either gonna be "flattered" or think that you are stalking her (lol) so be prepared either way......

it's a sweet well thought out plan but maybe you should steal one of her books instead of buying 1. Chances are that she might not recognize the book you bought and refuse to take it... how would you explain in front of ppl TAKE IT!!!! LOL very cute though
