Ask her what her name is first, it's a good way to get a conversation started, that's number 1. Tell her your name, I know that's not a question but it it is a good idea to let her know who she is speaking to.

Number 2.. ask her if she would like a drink...always works, she will say, Yes please...hopefullly.

Number 3..ask her about herself, e.g. what does she do for a living? Or maybe, is she at University...the question depends on the circumstance.

Sorry, had to do that :) I think really don't worry about telling her she's amazing etc etc...if she is she'll know it and be told it all the time anyway, just make her laugh herself silly...in the sort of joke that implies she's super-bright and fantastic to get it at all...if poss. Oh wait - that's what I'd want someone to say....I wouldn't rely on any of that. Hang on, I've just asked my sister, she says humour too, and she's very normal.
