I've heard it primarily used as a boys' name but it can be used for girls. I'd change the spelling to 'Lennie' though for a girl.

I say its a boy name... but i guess it could be either boy or girl name. Ive never met a girl named lenny.

The only Lenny's I know are Lenny Kravitz the male rock star and Lenny, Homer Simpson's male coworker at the nuclear power plant.

Nowadays I guess names can go either way but think before you name your child. They have to live with the name and if you name a girl Lenny do you think she will thank you for that one day ?
