The player for DC United is called Alecko Eskandarian and he is born in the USA but is indeed the son of Andranik Eskandarian who played for Iran in 1978 but moved to the USA shortly after the World Cup in Argentina, in the USA he played for New York Cosmos. He became a US citizen in 1984, two years after his son was born.
