They work, but you want someone to wrap the perm who knows what they're doing! That's the biggest thing... wrapping the hair correctly!
Some of my best perms in the past were done at home by a friend.

I agree with the first post. You do have to roll it correctly, but if the person rolling your hair can follow directions. I turned to using them because I have long hair and it is over $100 to perm my hair. I always bought the for delicate hair or the Precisely Right (which only processes for so long - auto shut off). They work great!
