everything!

I asked him not to promise anything... whatever I get from him, I will be grateful for that..... I think God is having enough troubles with others, beside me - just have a look at the world, so much trouble, so much suffering!
I don't want to add up to it - so I have begun to ask God for nothing in particular. He knows why I am here, after all, no?
If he does, it means I will know that, too... and act accordingly.
:-)

There's a really good quote on this - "if god wants you to climb mountains, he'll give you hiking shoes"
God's promise to me is to guide my way through all the rough moments in life. He has given me the strength to persevere. To get over the death of loved ones, my abusive ex-b/f, to recover from bulimia and live through a miscarriage. And not only to go through it, but to wake up feeling happy.
God's promise to everyone is that he'll always provide that extra push when you need it most and when you least expect it.

WHAT promise?
Sorry, but Science cannot prove the existence of Heaven, Hell OR 'God' (as you understand it).
Science HAS proven Human development from it's most primitive stages.
Did you know that GOD spelled backwards is DOG?
If (IF) God created Man in his own image, and Humans are descendant of Primates (as Science would have it), who's to say God (or whomever) didn't look like Cornelius from 'Planet of the Apes'?

God's promise to me is the same as to everyone else:

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." - Jesus Christ

God's promise to me is life eternal if I do what he tells me to. Be saved, baptized and worship Him. To be in constant prayer. Now don't think this is impossible. I pray strongly of the morning and at night when I go to bed and through the day, unconsiously sometimes I realize I am praying. I really think (and this is just my opinion) that we are to always have a Christian attitude. We are to be as Christlike as possible. Jesus was always going off at times byHimself and sometimes with the apostles, praying. But when He was with the apostles He always distanced Him self from even then, except for the night He was captured at Gesthemane, when He took Peter, John and one of the other apostles with Him. Then He bade them keep watch and distanced Himself from them and prayed. When He returned, He found them sleeping and He was grieved because of it. I could go on and on, but you can read it for yourself in Matthew and Luke.

None. I wouldn't take a hypothetical being's promise, anyway.
