why do people cry when they worship God?

sometimes people do cry because they love Him so much and they think of what He has done for us like Jesus dieing on the cross for our sins and God created the world for us to live in, and like the words that we sing or hear in Church is so true, stuff like that. sometimes i cry, but not all the time.

I was going to church for quite a while and taking my kids. First off, I cry easily (wish there was a pill or something to make it stop). Whenever I heard the song "I feel the presence of the Lord is in this place, I can Feel.....," etc. I CRIED MY EYES OUT. I don't know why. I don't know if it is because HE has touched me or that I wish I could see HIM or what. But it ALWAYS happened. It's almost like you "feel" the spirit and how cool is that????? VERY COOL. The ONLY problem is -- it is embarrassing because others can control their emotions when you can't seem to be able to.

Well, some do out of pure love and appreciation. Sometimes I cry out of sheer joy. Nothing to do with god or anything, just glad I am who I am with the family and friends I have and everything that goes along with that. I'm lucky!!!
I guess some people feel that way about God, and as long as its done from a sense of appreciation without a sense of "show" to the world at large, He would rejoice in their emotional gift to him of love.
ps you don't pray to Jesus, you pray to God, through Jesus' name.

some people that have a lot of faith in God, are touched by God when they pray and you cry because thats one of the affects. I went to a christian prayer meeting and people would fall over and cry.

When my daughter was born I cry'd. When someone gives you a special gift its hard not to get emotional. When your father says he is proud of you and hugs you, can you not cry. And when you think of all God has done for you and is doing and the unfathomable grace to not give you what you deserve, would you not cry too?

Absolute overwhelming emmotion...To know, with the certainty that comes with Christian Faith, The Way, The Truth, and The Life that is Jesus The Christ...... If you knew Him you would know from whence the tears come.

Because sometimes we are overwhelmed when we are praying to our Father and we realize that He has saved us from Hell and how much He loves us..It is a happy cry..sometimes we cry when we are asking forgiveness for our sins..it just depends.

I've only done it once. I felt overcome with a huge since of relief that it was ok to unload my problems and turn them over to God.
