People should understand that this a new time and age and some of the things that were prevalent in those times is not necessarily what is going on today. True enough the old and new testament have many ideas and issues that are similar to what is going on today, but we have to keep all of this in perspective becauseand understand this the Bible has been and will continue to be tampered with.

The Old testament, like the Quran is filled with ancient customs...like stoning women to death..this and other old customs won't fit into our present day system. The New testament however is different; loving and forgiving others is a good way of modern living

Absolutely. The Old Testament foretells, and the New Testament fullfills. They can take religion out of public places run by the government, schools, libraries, courthouses etc. but they can never take it out of a true Christians heart. If I had to break one of God's laws to follow any one of man made laws, I would probably be in jail most of the time.

Jesus himself said "He was the fulfillment of the Law" (that is the Old Testament). So even tho we DON'T have to follow the Ten Commandments, they WILL ALWAYS BE A GREAT GUIDE to live by and be respected. Jesus gave us New Testament laws that are even MORE important, such as look forward to HIS kingdom and follow his words and love our neighbors as ourselves (how could we do wrong to them, if we wouldn't do wrong to ourselves?).

The New Testament implores you to follow the teachings of those epistles. They include many commandments which direct you just how to do it. They are actually teaching implements.. if you follow the cmmandment, you will learn something from the higher realms... following each of them will take you to a much improved understanding of yourself, life and the hereafter.

There is nothing wrong with accepting the teachings of the new testament, who can argue with loving one another, not judging each other, forgiving your enemies and so on.

With modifications. We must apply their ideas to our own world. But generally, yes, they had many good ideas. Obviously, the rule against pork was based on pork's ability to transmit disease. That isn't the case today. Some of their guidelines were based on a lack of information. We don't condone slavery, don't treat women as chattel, aren't homophobic in today's world. But the guiding principals remain.
