Bounty hunters ( bail enforcement) don't get to carry guns, unless they have a personal carry permit. They are not sworn officers and get no automatic ok to carry any weapon that a private citizen can't carry.

And forget bow and arrows, you have been watching way to much TV.

You will set for hours watching various places they are know. you will go and talk to sisters, brothers, mothers, girl fiends, and the person who signed the bond, since they will be losing money if the perosndon't show up also.

In some states you have to contact a police officer and have one present if you are going to take the person into custody.

Bail enforcement works for the bondsman, he calls the shots as to what you will be allowed to do, for him to give you any bonds to try and find.

Im sorry but I had to laugh at your post. No disrespect intended. If you use a gun odds are you will live longer. Sooner or later your going to be facing one if you are a bounty hunter. And while I know guys that are "weapons without using a weapon" It is kinda hard to equal the distance a bullet will travel with hand to hand or anything else. You will run across someone who has nothing to lose and the only thing between him and freedom is you.

No, but they are highly advised to carry a weapon. Primarily a bounty hunter is hired by a court system to track down an unaccounted for court attendant.
