It wouldn't be a bad idea, but we live in the real world, and most of us know that it isn't going to happen. Use a condom. If it's going to be an ongoing thing, though, a test is imperative, because, eventually, the protection is going out the window.
I would be more concerned about Hepatitis C, though. HIV is not as easily transmitted through hetero contact as many would like to believe. If you're a healthy female, and you sleep with someone you KNOW is HIV positive, your chances of getting infected are 10 in 10,000, UNPROTECTED.
Get a test, though, if that's what would put your mind at ease.

Why is this even a question? circulate to the well being care provider and get examined. ordinarily STDs don't have too plenty consequence on adult men (different than HIV) yet issues like genital warts and chlamydia can kill women human beings or lead them to infertile. you may desire to understand what circumstances you do/don't have so which you would be able to avert your spouse from catching them.

Yes, I would. I had one that was 4 months old when I met my b/f, and I told him that I wanted to see his....so he went and took one(he is an ambulance driver...so he deals with a lot of sick people).....if he/she is interested in you and serious about you, then he/she will take the test.....

Depends on the person, and his/her responsibility. But personally, to me....no. I don't want to give a girl the wrong message after a few dates, and plus i only have spontaneous sex, not planned.

The smartest thing to do. If it makes you feel safe and are educated about all levels of sexual contact, then that's what YOU must do to take care of YOURSELF and being RESPONSIBLE to you.
Enjoy!
