They are killing people because of their twisted ideology. They think that they are killing the infidels and will be rewarded. Not the same as Christianity, which allows people to have their own free will. The terrorists have been blinded by Satan. They think the U.S. is the "Great Satan". They cannot be appeased until everyone is a fanatical muslim like them!

I can't tell you whats in the their mind. I can say though it must take a lot for someone to do this. We don't live in war torn countries. Our families are not being killed and our homes are not being destroyed. We are sitting behind our computer in comfy chairs wondering why these people are doing what they are doing.

Please don't get me wrong I am not condoning any act of terrorism. I am just stating that we can't imagine what they are thinking or the kind of like they are living. Is it pain or revenge that makes them do such things.

Only God knows whats in their hearts and the reasons why they do these things.

Terrorism refers to a strategy of using violence, or threat of violence to generate fear, cause disruption, and ultimately, to bring about compliance with specific political, religious, ideological, or personal demands[1]. The targets of terrorist attacks typically are not the individuals who are killed, injured, or taken hostage, but rather the societies to which these individuals belong. Terrorism is a type of unconventional warfare designed to weaken or supplant existing political landscapes through capitulation or acquiescence, as opposed to subversion or direct military action. The broader influence of terrorism in the modern world is often attributed to the dramatic focus of mass media in amplifying feelings of intense fear and anger.

State terrorism more specifically refers to violent acts of coercion by the government of a state
associated with terrorism when its objectives are to produce shock and awe for the purpose of forcing capitulation. For the purpose of weakening or destroying the opponent's military force, however, armed military conflict is a form of conventional warfare.

Because everyone who kills, retaliates, etc. feels they are justified for doing so because of perceived wrongs done to them. Terrorists think that Israel, U.S.A, etc. have done horrible things and that they need to retaliate. Israel perceives terrorists as doing horrible things and they retaliate. USA perceives the same and retaliates. And everyone thinks they're on the side of good and righteousness (this is true even for hitler, stalin, etc. - they all felt justified in their responses).

The muslims terrorist believe that if they will blow themselves Muhammad will send them 700 virgin women in their next world and people like the president of Iran promise them that he will take care of their families and give them better life.
