Norman Bates!!! Jack Daniels and Pot Noodles break the picnic etiquette!! Then again maybe Pot Noodling is a safer activity than ca-noodling!!

**Innocent smoothies (esp. apple & blackcurrant kid-size packs: freeze these a few hours before, that way they will (1) be nice and cold in the hottest part of the day and (2) keep the food next to them chilled)
**Bananas, put these in a fairly stiff container as they ripen fast
**Peaches, same advice as for bananas (and great for making suggestive arrangements if you bring both :)
**Kallo chocolate-coated rice cakes (put next to smoothie, or you lose the choc)
**Sweet tomatoes (santini, cherry), short cucumbers, hard-boiled eggs (in shell) and wholegrain bread
**Water (2 litres just for me)

I also invariably end up packing salami sandwiches, freshly squeezed apple juice, digestive biscuits and Organix Goodies for my little fella. As well as extra water.

If other girls are coming, I might add something like fresh crusty baguettes, goats cheese, prefab salad box (M&S is best) and 1/2 bottle of dry white. That has to go in a cool box or next to the smoothies! Guys might also get a Colliers & mango chutney sarnie and a bottle of St Peter's Best. Which I will then nick half of. Arrrrr...

cold roast chicken, ham slices, box of salad with spring onions (keeping little tomatoes whole or it makes everything else soggy), some hard cheese like cheddar or similar and teeny little white rolls, flask of tea or coffee, big bottle of cream soda, also water. Fruit like apples or pears or oranges, other fruit too squishy. A towel or some napkins. A bin bag to chuck all the rubbish in afterwards. We don't bother with knives and forks on picnics it's great just using yer hands!

Lemonade or diet coke are my favorite drink And, favorite food would be something light and refreshing for the summer like really good rich cheese and perhaps veggie sandwiches or something. Have fun on your picnic.

For a healthy picnic I would bring:
--California sandwiches (Sliced avocados, tomatoes, cucumbers, alfalfa sprouts, and either mayo or honey mustard on wheat bread.)
--fresh fruit (straberries, grapes, raspberries, or try something new and go for grapples - apples that taste like grapes.)
--sparkling grape juice to drink (in fancy wine glasses for more fun!)

Enjoy your picnic!

Red wine, lots and lots of red wine. And some seedless grapes, a bit of French cheese and a baguette.
